Passage Presentations

Student work portfolios are the main tool of preparation for what we call Passage Presentations that are done at the end of 10th and 12th grades.  Students present their work and progress to a panel composed of teachers, administrators, community members, and parents. The presentation is organized around the questions of:

  • How am I making progress in the Five Dimensions of Student Achievement? and
  • What aspects of my work demonstrate the Venture Values (Destinations)?

The panel hears the presentation, asks clarifying questions, deliberates on whether the student passes the “Passage,” and provides commendations as well as opportunities for improvement.
